You do this using either the 6-way charger or the two single chargers and a cloning cable. You need to clone your old CLP to your new CLPe. One example is that your CLP radios were customised by a dealer and the new CLPe radios have standard programming. There are many reasons they might not work together. But nevertheless, CLP and CLPe radios are compatible. Perhaps it’s another manufacturer competing with Motorola intending to try and saboutage the product.

We’re not 100% sure where this myth came from. It’s not true. CLP and CLPe radios ARE compatible… Whatever you’ve read saying they’re not – it’s wrong. There is a myth circulating that the new CLPe radios and the old CLP radios are not compatible?!?!…
